I consider them like any other parallel that's limited to only one of it's type.I pulled one once and have a couple of others but still haven't found any of my favorite team (Mets) that I collect.BA Bennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08150345904848914238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6061800788985767182.post-9066985194964243282010-09-24T13:05:24.998-05:002010-09-24T13:05:24.998-05:00I have never pulled one before myself. If I can find a plate of Carl Crawford (the player I collect) for a good price, I am on it...
I consider them 1 of 1s, but I would still rather have an on-card auto that is numbered to 500 over a 1/1 plate. For a player that doesn't have a lot of cards, I think they are extra special. I have a few Willy Aybar plates-got them all for a buck or two and hope to fill a page of 9 with Aybar plates someday...
For me, I couldn't afford a 1/1 that was autographed and game used, so this is a neat alternative that stays affordable. Plus these are used in the process of printing which makes them super cool in my eyes...Collective Trollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04214312372172286275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6061800788985767182.post-63555558175684901862010-09-24T12:29:06.144-05:002010-09-24T12:29:06.144-05:00I guess they're 1 of 1's but I've pers...I guess they're 1 of 1's but I've personally never felt compelled to buy one. I think the Ron Santo's that have come up on Ebay have always gotten too pricey for me.Hackenbushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15507810776309048794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6061800788985767182.post-10316027565020524762010-09-24T12:14:59.752-05:002010-09-24T12:14:59.752-05:00They count, but be aware that 1/1 in printing plat...They count, but be aware that 1/1 in printing plates doesn't always mean that there's only one card for each color. In some instances, there have been multiple 1/1 copies of colors. It doesn't happen too often, but I have seen cases of that.

I've heard some people explain that away by saying that printing plates wear out and each plate is technically a 1 of 1.

I've only come across one printing plate in a pack, so it's still a novelty, in my book.Steve Giermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10291911419511893670noreply@blogger.com
