Fulfillment.

Isaiah 7:14 ...Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
1:23 'Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emanuel,' which being interpreted is, God with us.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

While we all hope that others enjoy the gifts we give them this day it is important to remember that the One who fulfilled the words of the prophet is the only gift that truly fulfills us today.
