Texas traded for Jeff Zaske, shown here on card number 158 of the 1987 ProCards set, in September of 1986. He would play for Tulsa at Double A and Oklahoma City at Triple A in 1987.
I'm not sure exactly why the Rangers traded for Jeff. Maybe they thought that he would return to the majors. After all, he had appeared in three games in 1984 with the Pittsburg Pirates. That return to The Bigs wouldn't happen though. Jeff would only be in the Rangers' system for the 1987 season.
I couldn't find any more information on Zaske's organization changes but I do know that in 1988 he played in both the Dodgers and A's systems. After that season he drops from the record.
