So I didn't have any game-used or autos of Nolan Ryan in a Rangers uniform to celebrate his being part of the group that won the bidding for the Rangers yesterday. Decided instead to randomly pick one to post. Came up with this 2003 Leaf Certified Materials autograph of Ramon Nivar. This particular card is numbered 10/250.Ramon didn't work out for the Rangers. Hopefully Nolan Ryan and Chuck Greenberg are a different story. With Ryan running the baseball side of things and Greenberg on the business side it could be a nice combination. Nolan seems to have made a very positive impact on the team since his arrival as an executive. It would be nice to see that impact continue well into the future.
As for Chuck Greenberg, well he has started off strong. After winning the auction for the team he commented that the re-signing of Cliff Lee is still a possibility. Nice way to introduce oneself to the fans.
Hopefully the new ownership is successful and long term.
