So the Rangers finally won! Snapped a five game tumble with a 8-1 trouncing of the Toronto Blue Jays last night in Toronto. Good to hear. I was starting to get a little worried.
Derek Holland was spotless in the start and the bullpen was great except for a mistake by Darren O'Day that ended up in the seats. Nice to see a starter do that well again. Getting spoiled by the 'pen.
In addition, the offense finally woke up. Ian Kinsler led the game off with a home run to let Toronto know the bats were back. Nellie Cruz smacked a long ball in the ninth to put an exclamation point on the game. In between Michael Young, shown here on his 2008 SPx Winning Materials jersey card, managed an RBI as well. In all six of the starting lineup snagged at least one RBI. Very glad to see that.
Got to keep it going now guys. A win tonight and then back home and two against the Yankees would be great. Nice time to prove before the post-season that you can beat New York.
