September. Time for the rosters to expand and teams to either take a look at prospects or try to shore up for a final push.
Texas is also taking Ian Kinsler, seen here on his 2010 Topps Attax card, off the Disabled List. Technically Ian was activated the last day the team was in Kansas City. He didn't play there though but is expected to start tonight in Minnesota.
Pedro Strop is also back in the bullpen after being called up on the first. This is his fifth trip up to the Majors this season. Hopefully he will help cover for Frank Francisco while he's on the DL.
The Rangers are also expected to call up Taylor Teagarden today. Taylor has been back at Triple A since Matt Treanor came off the DL a week or so ago. Tea should be able to help spell Treanor and Bengie Molina as well as pick up some valuable experience.
The Rangers are also expected to take Dustin Nippert off the DL some time today. Good to see that. Watching the replays of Dustin taking that line drive off his head was scary. It's been a long time in baseball terms since July 19th and hopefully Nippert is back to full strength.
Ok, got some guys coming back and coming up. Now's the time to start a nice winning streak. Got to take this series from the Twins if you don't want to start the post-season on the road in the East.
