Well, with not much going on today in baseball it's time for another exciting episode of, "Whatever happened to that guy?" Today's card is an unnumbered card from the 1986 ProCards OKC Eighty Niners team set. The player pictured is infielder Willie Lozado.
Apparently by the time this photo was taken Willie's best baseball days were behind him. According to Baseball-Reference.com Willie was signed by the Brewers in 1978 and made his MLB debut in July of 1984. During his tenure with Milwaukee he played 2nd, short, third, and DH. After 43 games the Brew Crew left him unprotected and St. Louis snagged him in the rule 5 draft. They released him in November of 1985.
The record apparently stops there. According to the back of this card, Willie played for Louisville and Arkansas in 1985. There is no indication of how he ended up in the Rangers system. He never played for the Rangers or any other club in the bigs after his 1984 appearance. So, what did become of infielder Willie Lozado?

Willie appears to have played for OK City, including a 1.2 inning pitching stint in which he gave up 0 hits. There is no record for him in 1987, but he resurfaced in 1988 with Memphis in the KC organization.
This is according to a great site for minor league stats...

He is apparently the President of the Albany Redbirds: http://www.newalbanyredbirds.org/naryoi_004.htm
Thanks for the great info guys! Looks like Willie has had a successful post-playing career. I'll need to check out that minor league site before I post another minor league card.
