Today's card is Rusty Greer in the 1997 Donruss Signature Series. The card is not numbered and features an autograph of the perennial fan favorite.
Rusty was a part of Texas' lone post-season win in 1996. The Rangers beat New York 6-2 in Yankee Stadium. The Yankees quickly came back and won the series. The only other two times the team made the playoffs there were the dreaded Yankees. Two sweeps followed.
I have had people ask me why I dislike the Yankees so much since they aren't even in the Rangers' division. To have your team lose all of their post-season chances to the same opponent does not engender kind thoughts. That is why it is sweet to see the team leave The Bronx with a series win to close out their trips to Yankee stadium.
