On we go with the All-Star theme. Today we see Ruben Sierra on card number 673 of the 1990 Donruss set.1990 was one of the few years that Donruss made its All-Star cards as part of the regular set rather than as a separate oversize set. When this set was first issued, the All-Star cards made a mild sensation when it was discovered that some of them lacked the little TM symbol on the league logos. I remember seeing the ones without the TM pulled off to the side and sold for a little more than the ones that had it. As you can see, Ruben has his.
This card doesn't have much going for it but there is one aspect that is a nice touch. Ruben's position is listed as "RF" or right field. I like that. Lots of times all three outfielders are listed only as "OF" for outfield. I like to see the specific positions given for a change of pace.
