Well, it's that time of year. Almost into the stretch and players are starting to get hurt. Seems like it happens every year and to almost every team. Texas now has seven players on the DL with a few more looking at heading there. This is in addition to the players who are out for the season with injuries.
In 1997 Metal Universe released its second set. Appearing on card number 167 Roger Pavlik seems to be the Rangers' answer. With his bionic leg and arm he looks less likely to be injured. No more Tommy John surgery or bone chips in the throwing arm elbow. So he takes a line drive off his front leg, so what? There were apparently some glitches with the system though as Roger was a little prone to issue walks. It is also reported that there were a few problems keeping him oiled up during rain delays.
